Anodes on a yacht
The Airmech offer includes precision made anodes for the yacht, which are an extremely important protective element. This equipment allows corrosion prevention for all metal parts of the boat under water. This is an important yacht equipment regardless of the type of hull. The anode is perfect for both steel and made of laminate and aluminum or wood. Electrochemical corrosion is a process that leads to the gradual destruction of the metal surface. In the absence of an anode for the hull, it can proceed quite quickly, degrading the boat and endangering its safety. If used properly, it significantly slows down corrosive processes. Mount it so that all metal parts come into direct contact with it.
Anode on the yacht’s hull
The choice of anode for a yacht should depend primarily on the material from which the hull was made, as well as the waters on which the boat will move. We offer our customers zinc and aluminum elements. The first of these is recommended for yachts sailing in saltwater. Those made of aluminum are recommended in particular in contact with fresh waters due to the greater potential difference. The aluminum anode for the hull can be used when navigating the seas and oceans, but better protection in this case is guaranteed by zinc. All of our equipment has streamlined shapes, which makes it easy to fit and install your boat.
